For today’s foodie, of which I am a novice, there’s a buzz stirring and it’s not about bees. It is a French word, “charcuterie,” pronounced: shär-,kü-tə-ˈrē. Although it has several meanings, the trend heating up the current food craze is an appetizer course featuring dried and cured meats, crusty baguettes, spicy cheeses, zesty pickles, and other savor morsels.

It's simple! That's what I love-love about this craze. Merely slice, dice and carve and you’re done!

Then flaunt your good stuff! Simply arrange the food on a beautiful wood-grain board or sleek marble slab.  Don't you admire these beautiful, organic serving pieces with all their imperfections?

You’ll look like a master chef in charcuterie. Did you know charcuterie and art are like two peas-in-a-pod? Catch the next blog post and discover the similarities to art!
