Shadow boxes are for framing keepsakes, memorabilia and any 3 dimensional object that does not fit in an 'ordinary' picture frame. We design and custom make these frames to fit the object and display it in way to complement the contents.
The frame on the left displays a South American bolo, riding spurs and riding crop. We designed this piece for our customer with bleached, rustic, rough wooden moulding matching the rugged western look of old fencing. It is made to open from the front so the featured products can be inspected and handled if desired. Each item in the box can easily be removed and replaced so there is no permanent damage to
the product. In fact these items could be put back in service by a honcho today.
The Batmobile toy was discovered in an antique fair. We designed a more modern style frame to go with the futuristic look of the car/plane. The logo was copied and traced into our robotic mat cutter and placed on the silver mat below the black top mat. The exhaust flames our cut from three different color mats and inlayed into the silver mat under the car. This box features a removable back allowing removal of the contents. Again, each piece is anchored in a manner so as not to leave any visible signs of damage. |
